It looks like a centuries-old cottage more likely to have been built in the 1700s than the 70s.
But this Welsh property – nicknamed ‘The Hobbit House’ by local estate agents – was only built in 1972 by the eco-architect Christopher Day.
With its turf roof and stone exterior, the house blends perfectly into its surroundings, while being reminiscent of the home of Lord of the Rings hobbit Bilbo Baggins.
